Dom Venzant named Symco Pottery Works after the location of his grandpa's farm (and Dom's first studio) in Symco, Wisconsin. Dom lives and works between South Minneapolis and Austin, MN. He makes electric/gas fired functional pottery, and does his wood firing at the Glencoe kiln "Tandava" in Glencoe, MN with a group of wonderful like-minded potters. He sells his work in person at the Northeast Farmers Market in Northeast Minneapolis. Dom teaches at Riverland Community College in Austin, MN and recently bought a farm in Austin with the aim of building a community art space.
